- Videntes stellam (2020) is a setting of the traditional sacred text recounting the visit of the Three Magi to the newborn Christ — a theme that has inspired Western art for centuries. Dedicated to the composer’s wife, the work unfolds in a clear ABA form, juxtaposing serene, chorale-like writing with a rhythmically driven and energetic central section that gradually dissolves into a whispering texture. Through this contrast, the piece seeks to evoke both the quiet wonder and the jubilant fervour associated with the Epiphany story.
